A Canadian author redefines the meaning of wealth for a post-pandemic world in her new book, The Wea

In her new book, The Wealthy Peasant, Shauna Madsen delivers a global story of epic proportions, inspiring readers to question and challenge the status quo and conventional views on attaining wealth and finding happiness.

From an alcoholic upbringing and sleeping on a park bench with no place to call home at the age of seventeen, Shauna reveals a life of challenges and triumphs as a single mother creating life on her terms, learning to break free from abusive relationships and toxic work environments, rising above her cancer journey and striving to succeed in business.

"We rely too heavily on other people's opinions and ideas. Society passes judgment based on outward appearances. Whether it's the car we drive, the clothes we wear, the colour of our skin, our spiritual beliefs, or the number of followers we have on social media—we are judged. Wealth and happiness don't come from out there; no matter the circumstances, we possess the ability to move through it all and live a life we love," said Madsen.

Madsen inspires people to question and challenge the status quo, their perceptions of wealth, and how external judgments affect the quality of our lives, dictating that we measure success by material gain.

Shauna Madsen has been an entrepreneur for over thirty years as a mentor, business planning coach, facilitator, and branding and marketing specialist. Shauna embraced change at the start of the pandemic and has semi-retired her business interests, focusing on her writing and painting in her Edmonton studio while spending time with her husband, grandchildren and two miniature dachshunds.

What readers are saying:

"Wow!! Once I started reading this book, I couldn't stop. I laughed, I cried, and most of all, when I was finished, I felt a sense of hope, and hope for others." – Colette, Benoit Wellness Consulting.

"THE WEALTHY PEASANT is a poignant lesson on how to live life to the fullest. This book is for anyone who may think their difficult life experiences define who they are or believe the obstacles thrown their way give them an excuse to give up and just watch the rest of their life pass them by." – Robin Carnegie
